HISTORY

Although it is thought that Sudoku has Japanese origins, the reality is quite different.

The game was invented by the Swiss mathematician Euler from Basel, while the modern version was published for the first time in 1979 by the American Howard Garnes in Dell Magazines, under the name "Number Place".
